Entendemos la línea editorial de una empresa como una definición elaborada en conformidad con su identidad y valores corporativos, que incluye aspectos emotivos, políticos, religiosos y sociales, cuyo fin es ser aplicada en las políticas de producción, comunicación y desarrollo. En el caso de Pehuén, dicha sentencia es:

Entendemos las políticas de selección editorial como orientaciones y directrices generales según las cuales se rigen la gestión y elección de iniciativas para nuevos libros y proyectos. Están íntimamente relacionadas con la línea editorial. Las políticas generales de selección editorial de Pehuén son:

Publicamos libros que sean un aporte original a la industria editorial y el mercado cultural chileno.

Publicamos libros que tengan coherencia con nuestra visión, misión, objetivos estratégicos y valores.

Publicamos libros que apoyen el rescate de la identidad cultural chilena, tanto desde las manifestaciones indígenas como de la cultura contemporánea.

Publicamos libros de autores nacionales y extranjeros en versiones íntegras, o bien en traducciones al castellano.

Publicamos libros dentro de colecciones que poseen unidad temática, formal y gráfica.

Publicamos libros siguiendo patrones tradicionales y legales de respeto por el autor, sus derechos y los derechos de terceros.

We publish books of national and foreign authors in entire versions, or translated into Spanish.

We publish books inside the collections that have a thematic, formal and graphic unit.

We publish books following the traditional and legal patterns of respect for the author, its rights and third party rights.
